Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. Her name has been praised by the media and for her television work since the 1980s. Her accolades are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt who lived in New York New York. Bassett and her sister, who were about five years old, made the move from New York to St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the divorced father. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. In the year 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they got married. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
